Summer catch-up

Hi all!It's been a while since I've posted here..and in the meantime,it appears they may have corrected the tech issues that were gong on..If so,Yeah!..if not...this blog will be the last one here.
Ok,so,where to start..It's a black-cloudy,wet,hot day here in western/coast Fl.Hurricane season..Every afternoon we can pretty much plan on downpours.It would be great if it cooled things off!Oh,speaking of cooling things..our central A/C had "issues"a few weeks ago.1st fix,$90..(temp,freon)Then,this week,$525 for a new coil/install.!Good thing we have a friend who's our pro!
That was followed by the kitchen sink faucet breaking and another $100....Seems like there were more fixes,but I guess my mind's blocking them out,LOL.Don't you hate it when things start breaking down?And the repairs!Ouch!Thankfully some things we are able to do ourselves..So,I wonder how many of you are do-it-yourselfers?Or do you call a pro and get it over with?
Let me know..OK?I'm curious...

Blessings and change....

Hey folks...Haven't posted in a few days,so thought I'd do it now..Kind of a rough week..Pain-wise,fatigue and so on.But,there have been a number of blessings too..aren't there always?When we look for them.......Had a couple of productive doc appointments last week.They aren't always that way,LOL.And every time I see them(the docs)I start out by telling them what's new and exciting with Eclipse Candle Co and often,the family.Love sharing good news,don't you?(more news on ECC later..)
Then there was the knock on the door(which,by the way,has a sign "No Soliciting"on it)I'm cooking,Tom answers it.I hear him chatting...Then "they"come into the house and Tom comes to get me.Guy comes in,and says"He said I had to talk to 'the boss'".No soliciting,eh?Well,it was a cable co we used for many years but left  2+yrs. ago.We even had a cable friend(and ECC GT member) in common,and called her!Small world.A deal was struck and we(I?)accepted.Then I tell him about ECC(Well,he WAS in my line of vision!).He says his wife loves this type of product and off I send him with samples and catalogs.Did the same thing with the installer 2 days later.
So,still in process of net/phone/cable switch,but seems ok for now.Hate getting used to new things...remotes,channel lineups,detergent,LOL...You get the picture.
Change is often hard for me...Is it hard for you?And the "bad"days or Only offset by looking for and finding the blessings in them..What blessings are You finding in your difficult days?

"Old lady" hogging the mirror!

I had Tom take a new pic of me and my new haircut today.I'm finding there are certain angles and tilts needed in my photo-op days now...Read on and see if you can relate...
 Today I went for a haircut..from a REAL stylist,LOL.Tom waited and did what he does best..made folks smile.Here's what I learned today while being forced in front of a very large mirror...
 I do not,and have not for some time ,like mirrors!Large,small,or even the reflection off of windows as I'm passing by...None of it! I don't know when this old woman started jumping in front of me every time I'm in a reflective scenario,but she can stop anytime now!Enough!
"She"has so much "turkey waddle"on her neck she could be this year's Thanksgiving main dish!"Her"eyelids are almost hidden with the upper droop that's bearing down on them...
Oh,(a little tidbit for your educational needs today)..Did you know that your nose and ears continue to grow as "people"age?I think I read that somewhere way back when I didn't NEED to know it nor did it have ANY effect on my life as I knew it.If I'm wrong,feel free to correct me!
We stopped at JoAnns Fabric store to get more little containers I use to make ECC Body Melt samples .Without skipping only does the cashier give me the upcoming coupons/ad...but she says..:And here is the SENIOR Special"too!What?
OK,so I agree..I Am 60...I do have my God-designed natural hair color,and I Am awaiting the arrival of my newest set of partial plates so I can smile real big again.So..well...hmmm....One last thing...Have I told y'all what Tom says(sweetheart that he is)any time I decide to try on the kind of shoes I used to love to wear?You know,the ones with the 6 inch spiked heals..Remember?So as I valiantly stand upright in them,with a smile on my face,and a hand on a wall,shelf,railing(you get the pic),he says loudly with love, "You'll break a hip!"....
I would love some comments if anyone else has had these experiences..Watch out for the woman/man in the mirror!

Well,have I told y'all how every year I say,"I am NEVER making all those Easter Baskets/bags again!"?Not sure how it happened but I ended up making(or my invisible twin did)NINETEEN of them this year!WHAT? There they were...as I was finally going to bed last night around 11pm+..all lined up nicely.Hmmm.This can Never happen again.Oh,here's the best part..While I'm saying I won't do it..Tom & I are in and out of grocery/drug stores SEVERAL times(about 4 in 2 days)getting stuff to fill them all equally.LOL.
So here I am today,still in jammies,But..the good news is,the ham's almost done,candied sweet taters..done..smashed taters..done..and on it goes.All I have to do is shower and look somewhat presentable for our company in a few hours.
So,tell me what you are doing/did today?Were you the reasonable person who relaxed and enjoyed the day?Or were you doing too much but maybe enjoying it more than you let on(like me)?
Wherever you fall in that spectrum,remember why we celebrate this day,OK?It's not the candy or the eggs.It's not the dinners either.It is this: The Lord has Risen!

Completions,extractions,and vanity deletions....

Hi friends!I thought I'd do a little catching up..
The other day I made and posted on YouTube a little How-To video*.
It was about how I,the Mom,make Body Melt samples for Eclipse Candle Co Body Melts to give to folks.Talk about,"I'm not a professional"LOL!But,it felt like I got something accomplished..Don't know about you,but in all these years of being disabled due to unpredictable,multiple illnesses,anything completed makes me smile.
I'd love to hear about Your accomplishments this week...So come on...start sharin'!
So,Tom went out of town for a couple days on business(he's back..PTL!).Before he left I started having arrhythmia's(skipped heartbeats)for a few days.Up till he left we weren't positive about him leaving.Anyway,long story a little shorter..Docs started asking each other(?..yep)to order a holter monitor and were getting no where.Last evening my youngest son was here and I decided to go to the E.R.They picked up the irregularity,and thankfully,no heart attack or anything urgent.Yeah!So,Monday I will be getting a 24 hr. holter and see cardiologist the next week.
So,Thanks to all who were praying.God was holding me close,and I knew it.Don't you love it when you can sense His presence?
Also,had dental appointment today,so I took another ECC order to her and her staff.I tell you,this dentist and her staff LOVE ECC!Every time I walk in there they ask for more!Seriously.Anyway,ended up having my jaw/inside of mouth cut again to remove more tooth pieces from a few weeks ago when she extracted a few.OUCH!!But,the good news is..ready...they made the impressions for my new partial plates!!!
*I cannot believe I made that video before getting my new teeth!LOL!I think I lost my vanity somewhere in the last 60 years,hehe..Oh,sure..Now you all are going to try and find it to see if you can tell I'm almost toothless,aren't ya?Go ahead,see if I care,hehehe..

So,we went to Publix yesterday(Sunday,4/1/12).Had a bunch of W/D $5/$30 spent coupons.Yeah,Tom!He did 3 full($30+)transactions and put the groceries in the car before we even got down to the "real"stuff.LOL.I decided to share the "best"of the FIVE total tranactions of $30 or more.

Wednesday...Peace?

Ok...so it's Wednesday...exciting,huh?..I think this blog may end up being more "personal"in nature than "business",just sayin'.I will OF COURSE still be posting any/all new ECC info to my ECC fans,as well as my coupon adventures.But my mind seems to be more on my life at this point...
Here goes...Last night I watched "19 kids and counting" season finale.I believe this family is the epitome of faith in action.The Duggars lost a child at 18 wks or so of pregnancy.I was,as always,so taken by their absolute faith,never forgetting "Who"is in charge..The Almighty.They gave praise and glory as the wept and grieved.It weas so sad,yet a bit familiar in some ways.I remember being able to do that even 24 yrs. ago when I was widowed at age 36.I hurt,I praised God,and I went on..After watching it,a lightbulb went off in my head .Though my faith remains,I have lost my peace...Even through all these years of illness and pain,I've had peace.Through good and bad...I had peace.With or without headaches...I had peace..Stress or calm...peace remained.But now,as I sit here,I think it is is evasive,to say the least.I am blessed to have a super-hubby,Tom,to share these things with(more on him later).
So what is the cause I ask?I would love to hear from all of you.
My question is: Do you have peace?

So,it's Tuesday...now sure how Your week is going,but mine has been "interesting"..The "boring"stuff is this(see how I slipped right past the "interesting"part?):..Gave Granddog(Yes,that's what I said!)a bath today...Went to a dear friend's house to chat and complete an ECC Fundraiser.I have to tell you all..Eclipse Candle Co's Fundraisers are the Best!Easy to setup..easy to do..easy to complete.And,your org. gets 50% right away!PTL! As for me..Can't get headaches under control..so here's a question I pose to the "panel":
My C5-6 vert. have progressed to the "mod.-severe"level..What happens if/when they surpass "severe"?Do I become a bobble-head?  Just wonderin'..
